Great food and wine are best shared, this is the central philosophy at Lou Miranda Estate. Named for their father Lou Miranda, the three sisters, Lisa, Angela and Victoria run the families Barossa boutique winery, cellar door and restaurant with charming devotion to good old-fashioned Italian hospitality.

All the wines are produced from the families Estate owned vineyards, the 100 acres are on four sites located at a maximum of 8 kilometres from the winery. Privileged to be custodians of four centenarian old vine blocks in Southern Barossa Valley, the oldest dating back to 1897. Their dedication to vineyard management is carried through from barrel to bottle.

Lou’s father, Francesco ‘Pop’ Miranda used to say he could only make great wine with great fruit. The family has continued with this sentiment by working on their craft for more than 70 years. Attention to detail weaves its way through from disciplined fruit selection, and the handcrafted winemaking practices. Lou went on to develop the family’s boutique winery in 2005, and the focus is now on premium quality wines released under the Leone and Lou Miranda Estate brands.

There are many treasures to be found at Lou Miranda Estate from the Leone range with its distinctive, vibrant wines of elegance and flavour. The range extends from a bright, crunchy Pinot Grigio built in the authentic Italian style through to Rosato, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a robust, ripe Shiraz.
